FHU-TRANSLAD is a Hospital-University Federation devoted to the development of care, research and teaching/training in le field of development diseases. It brings together different clinical and research teams of the university hospitals (CHU) of Dijon and Besançon, and the federated University of Bourgogne Franche-Comté.
Why an FHU for rare diseases?
In a context in which rare diseases are a national and European priority (National Rare diseases Plan 2), the recent development of new technologies in genetics, and more particularly so-called "high-throughput" DNA sequencing technologies, is currently transforming perspectives for research in a radical manner, as well as opening up new avenues in the diagnosis and therapeutic management of these diseases.
